Paramedics' inspired guess saved life of British novichok victim - The Times

A pioneering drug is said to have been used to save a victim of an alleged Russian nerve agent attack on Britain after an inspired guess by a paramedic. In her final speech to the military as prime minister, Theresa May praised troops yesterday for their “round the clock” work in decontaminating Salisbury after Sergei Skripal, a Russian former double agent, and his daughter Yulia were poisoned in March last year.

One of the victims of the Novichok poisonings was saved when paramedics administered an anti-nerve agent drug that had never before been used on a patient in the UK.  Charlie Rowley was left critically ill after accidentally coming into contact with the noxious substance three months after it was used to target a former Russian spy in March 2018.
